Registration (purchase) of a new domain name for your website or drive
A domain name is a unique address for your website or drive, such as mydomain.com. When entering your domain in a browser, users will be redirected to your website or drive.
You can register and pay for a domain name in the .com or .me zone on Wfolio. Up-to-date information about the cost of registration and the status of a domain is displayed on the domain selection page in the control panel. You can also connect a free domain in the form of mydomain.wfolio.pro.
Enter the domain name and press "Select". Choose a domain in the .com, .me zone and purchase it.
If the status of a domain is "Unavailable", it means that the domain has already been registered and is unavailable for purchase.
A registered domain will be connected to your website or drive within several hours. A website or drive will not be viewable until your domain is connected. But you can make changes to the content on the site or upload projects to the drive through the control panel.
The domain is registered for a year. If you want to change the domain, then you need to pay for a new domain. In this case, the old links will redirect users to the new ones until the expiration date for the first domain.
After a domain registration and payment, your previous .wfolio.pro address is linked to your new domain, and the old links will redirect users to the new domain address automatically.
How to connect a free domain
Please note that the old free domain name will not be linked to your new address. The old links will stop working. You will need to share links with your new domain name.
