How to make an anchor link

Link to a specific place on the page (block)

IfĀ you need toĀ make aĀ link toĀ aĀ specific place onĀ the page (soĀ that when you click onĀ this link, not just another page opens, but anĀ automatic scrolling toĀ this place onĀ the page), use the anchor link. Anchor links are useful onĀ long pages when you need toĀ navigate toĀ aĀ specific part ofĀ the document.

Each block onĀ the site has its own unique identifierĀ ā€” anĀ anchor. InĀ order toĀ make aĀ transition toĀ it, you need toĀ copyĀ it, and then use itĀ inĀ the link from which the transition will beĀ performed.

How toĀ doĀ itĀ step byĀ step:

  • Open the Custom page for editing, hover the cursor over the required block and click onĀ the Ā«SettingsĀ» block (the Ā«GearĀ» icon onĀ the blue panel).

  • InĀ the opened window, hover over the blockā€™s anchor link and click onĀ itĀ toĀ copy itĀ toĀ the clipboard.

  • Then you need toĀ make aĀ link that will perform the transition toĀ the block when clicking onĀ it. Select the text that you want toĀ make aĀ link, click onĀ the Ā«šŸ”— LinkĀ» icon and paste the address with the block anchor that youĀ copied toĀ the clipboard. IfĀ you want toĀ make aĀ clickable link, read our instruction šŸ“– How toĀ make aĀ clickable link.

How to make a clickable link
  • Save changes. When you click onĀ the link, the site page will beĀ opened, and itĀ will automatically transfer you toĀ the anchor specified inĀ the link.

InĀ this way, anĀ anchor link toĀ aĀ specific block onĀ the page can beĀ made onĀ aĀ button, image, text, orĀ you can add it toĀ the main site menu.
