How to make an anchor link
Link to a specific place on the page (block)
If you need to make a link to a specific place on the page (so that when you click on this link, not just another page opens, but an automatic scrolling to this place on the page), use the anchor link. Anchor links are useful on long pages when you need to navigate to a specific part of the document.
Each block on the site has its own unique identifier — an anchor. In order to make a transition to it, you need to copy it, and then use it in the link from which the transition will be performed.
How to do it step by step:
Open the Custom page for editing, hover the cursor over the required block and click on the «Settings» block (the «Gear» icon on the blue panel).
In the opened window, hover over the block’s anchor link and click on it to copy it to the clipboard.
Then you need to make a link that will perform the transition to the block when clicking on it. Select the text that you want to make a link, click on the «🔗 Link» icon and paste the address with the block anchor that you copied to the clipboard. If you want to make a clickable link, read our instruction 📖 How to make a clickable link.
Save changes. When you click on the link, the site page will be opened, and it will automatically transfer you to the anchor specified in the link.
In this way, an anchor link to a specific block on the page can be made on a button, image, text, or you can add it to the main site menu.
